Check out several ways the Inauguration is going green, and our past article about green lodging options in Washington, DC.

While an event expecting almost 4 million people in attendance could never be dark green, the presidential Inauguration is taking some steps to lighten its load on the environment.  Treehugger wrote a great article about the greening of the inauguration:  http://www.treehugger.com/files/2009/01/five-green-aspects-of-obama-inaugural.php

Last year, we posted an article outlining the top 10 Green Hotels in DC and how to make and trip to the capital of our country a bit greener in:  Capital City Green.

What do you think of the steps the inauguration is taking?  Is it enough to make a difference?  Let us know here or tweet us @greentravelhub.
