These islands are just off the shore of Ecuador, and Charles Darwin made these islands famous when he did much of his scientific research on these islands.  The Galapagos National Park and the Galapagos Conservancy websites will give you a good idea of what to expect and how to responsibly visit this beautiful and delicate ecosystem.

Alaska boasts some of the most beautiful and breath-taking scenery in the world.  With over 365 million acres of sparsely populated land, the Alaska ecosystem remains preserved and virtually untouched.  You can hike Mt. McKinley in Denali National Park or visit the Tongass and Chugach rainforests.  It’s common to sight beautiful birds, wolves, bears, and bald eagles in Alaska.  If you love the outdoors and plenty of fresh air, Alaska is the place for you.  The McKinley Chalet Resort in Denali National Park has a 3 out of 5 green score rating on RezHub.com.

For a different ecosystem experience, visit the desert plains of Kenya.  You’ll get to see animals in their natural habitat that are normally only seen in zoos such as zebras, gazelles, lions, giraffes, and elephants.  There are over 50 parks to choose from.

Did you watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy and think to yourself, “Wow, that is beautiful!”  All three movies were shot in beautiful New Zealand.  New Zealand is a nature traveler's paradise, particularly so for those seeking outdoor adventure. Urupukapuka Island offers snorkeling, nature walks, hiking, and plenty of beaches. Tourism New Zealand offers many resources for vacation planning.
