- Rent a hybrid car
- Drive the speed limit
- Check your tire pressure before traveling
- Change the oil before your road trip
- Change the air filter before your road trip
- Use a GPS or a smart phone for directions, rather than printing them out
- Don’t drive like a NASCAR driver. Slowly accelerate when driving.
- Keep your recyclable items in a garbage bag in the trunk so you can recycle them at a later date
