There is a certain stigma surrounding bus travel, built up because of the perceived bus conditions, the neighborhoods in which they have stations and the uncomfortable seating provided.

But, with the rising cost of air travel, many travelers are looking towards bus as a real alternative.  In response, the bus companies are looking for ways to attract a new type of customer by overriding these perceptions. 

First, existing companies are upgrading their bus offering and new competitors are making it quite attractive to travel by bus.  For instance, the Northeast US based BoltBus offers wifi access, comfortable seating and a great alternative to other types of travel.  Their routes currently consist of Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York and Boston.  If the trends continue, it is certain that they will continue to grow.

Second, being that the more travelers will want to utilize bus services, new and more inviting bus stations have begun to open up.

Third, when compared to seating on an airplane, bus seating as it stands, is not all that bad.

Finally, will Bus Travel be another option for RezHub.com customers, in addition to discount hotels, cheap car rentals and air travel?  It is a possibility, stay tuned....
