There is much good to be done throughout the world and everyone lending a helping hand goes a long way towards resolving issues for other people.  So, when it comes to volunteering, why should we restrict the area of our effort to our hometown.  To me volunteer travel makes a lot of sense.

On vacation is the time when we all have the most down time.  Now, sacrificing that down time and hard earn vacation to give back to others in the form of volunteering is a big step to take.  However, when you consider the rewards of taking one day out of your vacation to volunteer, I think it is well worth it.

You will enjoy the benefits of volunteer travel by bonding with your family, enjoying helping out with something you are passionate about,  make a difference in someone's life and possibly even learn something new.
